Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation
This musem has always been one of my favorites, while a little bit smaller it is nicely set up and ran. It also seems to be more hands on in places. There's quite a few aircraft you can go sit down in, excellent displays, and well take a look for yourself! See their website. Strategic Air and Space Command Museum
The SAC museum is by far my favorite! Lots of airplanes, lots of things to see, and a few hands on things! I enjoy every time I get the chance to come to this museum! The full photos are coming soon! See their website. Please click on the images below to view them larger and read more about the images.
Sioux City Railroad Museum/Milwaukee Road Shops
The visit to this museum was a first for me, while on the small side they did have some nice displays. The mostly restored Great Northern steam locomotive was very nice as well as the ability to go up in it. They also have a nice model railroad on site. See their website. Trainland USA
This is a hidden tucked away gem of a place to visit! Not only do they have a few nice pieces on the property such as old coach car, caboose, and an old CNW station. But they have a great O-Scale layout that is interactive and cycles through day and night. If you get the chance to see it please do! Check their website here for more info!
Kennedy Space Center
What an experience to be able to visit KSC!!! Lots of great things to see, take pics of, gets hands on with! The Shuttle Atlantis experience was amazing and amazing to see the shuttle up close. If you get the chance to go there please do, and plan on spending the whole day there!
